Hi! I’m Tina Lee and I am an ACTIVE Juneau resident for over 50 years. I have been a Certified Physical Education Instructor-highly qualified, Certified Coach, and Personal Trainer. I have been teaching, coaching and playing in Juneau for over 30 years.
I taught Health, Yoga, Team Sports, Weight Training, and Fitness Concept classes for 12 years at Thunder Mountain High School. I also coached the Cheerleading/Stunt Team and Track and Field as well as running the Intramural program.
For over 20 years, I played every adult sport offered in Juneau~ softball-women and coed, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and coed volleyball. Unfortunately, the injuries were adding up and made me reconsider my participation if I wanted to be able to move later in life. I have a lot of experience in injuries too! 2 ACL knee reconstructions, 6 hernias, and my latest in 2019, emergency back surgery for ruptured disk, to mention a few. I can relate to a lot!
Health, sports, and fitness have always been a passion of mine. I just love educating people about the body, exercise, and health topics while encouraging them to enjoy activity with movement and to take care of themselves for health and happiness.
My approach to teaching my exercise classes is relaxed and not stressful. I understand that everyone is different with their abilities and I am happy to modify and give variations so everyone can enjoy my classes at their own level. My classes are fun, positive, and supportive. I am excited to teach exercise classes for everyone so they may improve their health and wellness…and enjoy living life and longer! Let’s prevent going to the hospital!
